Your Love Story
Engagement photos are a super important part of the wedding process, and there are so many beautiful locations around London Ontario, as well as Southwestern Ontario. You definitely will be happy with your decision to have your engagement photos taken.
I know I know, most people don’t enjoy getting their pictures taken. And you are probably thinking that it is bad enough that you have to get them done on your wedding day, why would you put yourself through it twice! Trust me, I get it… I’m not a fan of having my photo taken and it’s what we do for a living!
This is your best opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and with your photographer
Odds are, neither of you are professional models. (If you are then, you can probably skip this section! 😜 ) Your engagement session is the perfect opportunity to learn how to relax in front of the camera, to learn what to expect on your wedding day. Also, when you have your engagement session, you are able to see the types of poses and angles we use, and if you decide that that one pose or angle you just don’t care for, you can let us know. Same for the ones that you do love! Communication is key. Not only does it give us a chance to get to know each other, but we learn your likes and dislikes. That way when the day comes to tie the knot, you’ll be looking forward to having your pictures taken, instead of dreading the thought of having the camera pointed at you all day!
Believe it or not, your engagement session can actually be pretty fun!
Choose a spot for your photos that has some significance for the two of you. Perhaps where you got engaged, or where you had your first date. Or just somewhere that you both enjoy spending time. Some ideas for where to have your session: your hometown, school you met at, a favourite coffee shop or bar, museum, your own home, or if your feeling really adventurous, somewhere like Ikea, or Home Depot would be lots of fun! If you choose a meaningful spot, not only will it make you feel more at ease, but the images you get from it will mean even more to you!
Can’t think of any spots? No worries, we’ve got you covered, we know lots of great spots!
Pro tip: Choose a different season to give your photos a different feel from your wedding day photos, even consider a location that is opposite of your wedding venue ie: city engagement photos if your wedding is in a park-like setting. That way you will have lots of variety in the artwork in your home!
You’ll have awesome photos to display in your home and on your wedding day!
The options for what you can use your engagement photos for are endless! Display them in your home. Give them as gifts to parents. Create a wedding guestbook/signing album. Use them in your invitations/save the date cards. Use them for thank you cards. Display them on your wedding day!
